may i add that even though the techno bass pioneers didnt think techno bass would go global, it has! and even though it may not sound like "detroit" techno bass, it is an evolution of that sound and influence.
yep, much of the new school sounds of electro these days are very detroit influenced and can be justified as techno bass...i mean, why else do the old school people always say that new school sounds to much like techno? hhmm, i wonder... ;)

My name is Jase and I am a Techno Bass DJ from Detroit recently moved to Grand Rapids. I have been a Techno Bass veteran since 95. I grew into the sounds of Aux 88, Will Web, Direct Beat Records,Dynamix ll, Egyptian Lover, Anthony Rother, Godfather, Dj Dick, 76 Twilight Records, Ectomorph, Le Car, Interdimentional Transmissions, Silicon, V-Max Records, Mad Mike, Drexciya, Elektroids,Rolando, UR, Underground Resistance, Bass Force Records, Electro Funk Records, 430 West, Jaun Atkins, Metroplex Records, Transmat Records, and Adult. I will always love my classics but I am quikly growing to the likes of Deadlock Records, Blotnik Brothers, Satamile, Boris Divider, Sbls3plex, Dark Vector, Morphogenic, Fundamental Bass Intelligence, Exzakt, Monotone Records, Jackel and Hyde, Bunker, Dynamic Bass System, Dominance Electric, Bass Junkie, Control Tower, Scape One, Ghost in the Machine, Debonaire Records, Crobot Crew, and many more. I have played at clubs and parties all over the states but I have not yet started to produce. Bass is The Sound.
