For me Dynamix ll would have to be the birth of my techno bass experience. I went to the records store and i asked the guy whats the genre that sounds like a computer and video games. This guy says electro. Brand new to me finds me a copy of Don't touch that dial, atomic age , and we are the future on joey boy records. This turned into a instant love for bass. Later down the line Drexciya put a big mark on me and is now my favorite.

Jam On It was the beginning for me, too. I was around 10 or 11 years old and was on a family trip with my grandparents riding in the back of their Oldsmobile to New York CIty. My older cousin had a walkman with two earphone jacks, and he had Jam On It. He let me plug my earphones into his walkman and when it came on I was like WOAH! I kept asking him to rewind the tape over and over because I could not get enough. I'll never forget those days in the mid-eighties going to New York City and seeing break dancers, graffiti, people walking around with boom boxes. It was a different city - much more rough and raw.
